Caregivers will help elderly keep cool this summer

DERRY — A local organization will be able to reach out and help more people stay cool and healthy this summer.

Community Caregivers of Greater Derry received a donation from Project CoolAir to purchase air conditioners for elderly in the area.

Project CoolAir was founded and is sponsored by Area HomeCare and Family Services, teaming with local authorities, organizations and businesses to raise money and purchase and deliver air conditioners to elderly residents in the area.

During last week's senior health fair at West Running Brook Middle School, Community Caregivers Executive Director Cindee Cadieux accepted a donation to help the local nonprofit secure air conditioners for those who may need relief during the hot summer months.

For information about the project, contact Project CoolAir at 436-9059. Community Caregivers of Greater Derry can be reached by calling 432-0877.
