DERRY — Want to win tickets to a Heart concert, or to a Bare Naked Ladies concert? How about a Google Chromebook by Samsung or a Zorvinos wine tasting party for 20? These are just a few of the items available from the DMC Cancer Kickers’ fundraising raffles to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.
Leading up to the June 21 Relay for Life at Pinkerton Academy are two final fundraising events. Raffle tickets can be purchased at both events or at the front desk of Derry Medical Center, Overlook Medical Park, 6 Tsienneto Road, Derry.
There’s a car wash Sunday, June 2, at Overlook Medical Park, 6 Tsienneto Road, Derry, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A Little Black Dress party is set for Saturday, June 8 at the American Legion Hall, 5 Riverside St., Hooksett, from 6 to 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Every woman is encouraged to wear a little black dress, a la Audrey Hepburn, with a prize for the most fabulous shoes. No black dress? Wear anything that isn’t jeans—and bring your friends and significant other for dancing, door prizes, raffles and fun.
Last year, this Derry Medical Center staff team raised $12,000. Donate online at relayforlife.org and designate the team as Cancer Kickers of DMC or contact Erin Murphy, team captain, at email@example.com for more information.
