Bone marrow recipient stops by registry drive

LONDONDERRY — The St. Jude Parish Community Service Committee sponsored a Be the Match Registry bone marrow typing drive May 30 at Saint Jude Parish Hall, 435 Mammoth Road.

The registry services patients in need of a marrow transplant who do not have a matching donor in their family.

Some donors met 14-year-old Drew from Amherst, who received a life-saving bone marrow transplant.

It only takes a cheek swab to become part of the registry.
