Easter Seals New Hampshire In-Home Respite Program, provides flexible, short-term temporary care at home. Call 621-3550.

Birthright of Southern New Hampshire, offers free pregnancy tests and pregnancy services to women or girls distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. Other services include counseling referrals, community resources and medical referrals, all in a confidential and in an atmosphere that is not clinical. Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire, needs volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children. Forty hours of training provided. Call 626-4600.

Greater Salem/Derry Alliance for the Mentally Ill, offers support for people with mental illness and their family members and friends. In Salem, the group meets the third Thursday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Kelley Library, 234 Main St. in Derry, and Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Marion Gerrish Community Center, 39 West Broadway.

Home Health Visiting Nurse Association, serves the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire and offers free senior health clinics. The clinics focus on preventive care and assist senior citizens in maintaining good health through blood pressure checks, nutrition and medication counseling. Call 470-3800.

The Manchester Red Cross Blood Center, 425 Reservoir Ave., has blood donation hours Mondays, noon to 7 p.m.; Tuesdays, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Wednesdays and Thursdays, noon to 7 p.m. and two Saturdays per month from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Call 625-1951.
