A Family & Substance Abuse support group, will be offered on the fourth Sunday of every month, from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. David's Episcopal Church, 231 Main St., Salem. The family informational meetings are open to the public, spouses, other significant adults and adolescents in an alcoholic's/drug user's life. This group is geared towards helping family members understand that they are not responsible for the addiction and that they need to take steps to take care of themselves. DUAL RECOVERY ANONYMOUS meeting is held every Wednesday, from 12 to 1 p.m. at On the Road to Recovery, 12, Birch Street, Derry. Sponsored by the Derry Friendship Center, this is a non-professional organization established to help men and women who experience a dual disorder, meaning chemical dependency or other additions as well as an emotional or psychiatric illness.

Free Bereavement Support Group, for children, ages 6 through 11, who are grieving the loss of a parent or grandparent, or who have a loved one facing a life-threatening illness. The group meets every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Parkland Oncology Clinic, Suite 209, Nutfield Professional Building, Entrance A, 44 Birch St., Derry. Free Lupus Support Group, 7 p.m. at Parkland Medical Center in Derry on the first Thursday of every month. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the immune system to attack normal tissue resulting in inflammation of various parts of the body. Approved Veterans Services, available at SarahCare's compassionate, professional, comprehensive day care for the elderly includes Veterans Administration approved services for eligible veterans. Third Thursday of each month SarahCare sponsors a CareGiver Support Group from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The public is welcome.
