Safe Kids New Hampshire, Derry Police Department, Buckle Up NH Coalition and Community Alliance for Teen Safety will host a child passenger safety checkpoint on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hood Commons, 55 Crystal Ave. Derry.
The checkpoint is a free, drop-in event to raise awareness of the dangers of improperly installed car seats and to also provide an opportunity for parents to bring their used seats for proper disposal.

Hospice training offered on Mondays
Amedisys Hospice in Londonderry offers hospice volunteer training on Mondays at the hospice office, 1E Commons Drive, No. 33.
Training is held from 6 to 8 p.m. and is for anyone interested in becoming a hospice volunteer.

The Salvation Army on Folsom Road in Derry offers a small group personal training event on Mondays and Wednesdays, beginning Oct. 29.
The program is led by certified trainer and American Council on Exercise member Jeri Murphy.
