DERRY — Anyone needing help with enrollment through the Affordable Care Act can go to Derry Public Library on Dec. 18.
The library will host an enrollment forum to offer help to anyone that has questions on how to sign up through the new healthcare program.
The forum is at 1:30 p.m. and features Eireann Aspell from Planned Parenthood of Northern New England, one of two agencies authorized to provide the assistance.
She will give a brief presentation then open up a mini-computer lab for up to eight people to enroll using Navigator assistance.
This is the only opportunity for people to get help prior to the Dec. 23 deadline for insurance coverage to begin Jan. 1, 2014.
Advance registration is required. Walk-ins will only be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis if the eight slots are not filled before the program is held.
Anyone attending should bring their Social Security number, pay stubs and/or W2 forms, as well as 2012 tax documents.
The information is needed for everyone in the household of the individual seeking insurance.
The program is part of the library’s ongoing series of informational sessions about the Affordable Care Act.
Call 432-6140 to register for the program.
