Easter Seals, 555 Auburn St. in Manchester, offers a caregiver group for those caring for someone with Alzheimer's disease or related dementia. The group meets the third Tuesday of the month from 4 to 5:15 p.m. Respite care is provided at Easter Seals' Alzheimer's Adult Day Program. Call Linda Frost at 621-3565.

High Hopes Foundation, grants wishes to seriously ill New Hampshire residents, ages 3 through 18, including requests for trips to Disney World, computers and wheelchair-accessible vans. Volunteers help to schedule trips, shop for computers and help at fundraisers and in the office. To volunteer, call the Merrimack office at 429-1010.

The Center for Life Management offers a weekly support group, for families coping with a loved one with mental illness. Families Cope is a 12-step self-help and support group for concerned family members and friends of adults who suffer with mental illness or serious brain disorders. Two weekly meetings are Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Kelley Library, 234 Main St. in Salem and Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Marion Gerrish Community Center, 39 West Broadway in Derry. Easter Seals New Hampshire In-Home Respite Program, provides flexible, short-term temporary care at home. Call 621-3550.

Birthright of Southern New Hampshire, offers free pregnancy tests and pregnancy services to women or girls distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. Other services include counseling referrals, community resources and medical referrals, all in a confidential and in an atmosphere that is not clinical. Court Appointed Special Advocates of New Hampshire, needs volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children. Forty hours of training provided. Call 626-4600.

Greater Salem/Derry Alliance for the Mentally Ill, offers support for people with mental illness and their family members and friends. In Salem, the group meets the third Thursday of each month from 10:30 a.m. to noon at Kelley Library, 234 Main St. in Derry, and Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Marion Gerrish Community Center, 39 West Broadway.
