Caregivers invited to program
DERRY — Birch Heights retirement facility, 7 Kendall Pond Road, invites family and professional caregivers to a program to help them navigate the dementia journey in their loved ones and patients.
The program is May 17 from 10 a.m. to noon. Debra Desrosiers, a certified senior advisor and certified dementia coach from Visiting Angels, will be on hand to give resources for education, support and empowerment.

Healthy Aging lectures continue
DERRY — Derry Parks and Recreation and Parkland Medical Center continue its Healthy Aging Series of lectures May 21 with a presentation on wound care. The program begins at 3 p.m. and will be held at the Alexander-Carr Lodge, 28 Pierce Ave.
The guest speaker is Jessica Colbry.
The regular series features different educational presentations and topics geared toward those 55 years of age and older. There will be time for questions at the end of the session. The event is free. Call 432-6136 to register.
Baby and You group meets
DERRY — Parkland Medical Center offers regular classes in childbirth education and other sessions for parents.

DERRY — Parkland Medical Center continues its free Community Wellness Series May 14 with “As Your Body Changes — A Mother-Daughter Lecture.”

Health professions scholarships offered
The Alexander-Eastman Foundation is offering Health Professions Scholarships. Applications are available online at alexandereastman.org.
The foundation awards scholarships up to $2,500. Students eligible must live and or work within the Greater Derry area, currently work in healthcare or are pursuing education in the healthcare field. The application deadline is June 17.
