DERRY — The Greater Derry community's eighth annual Senior Health Fair will be held at West Running Brook Middle School Tuesday, April 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with a free lunch available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The fair is open to anyone 60 years and older. All attendees will receive a signature event thermal cooler. More than 90 vendors will offer a wide range of screenings and demonstrations. The fair is intended to offer seniors in the community health screenings and information, a nutritious meal and the chance to connect with resources that could improve their quality of life.
Grand door prizes are $100 Wal-Mart gift cards that will be awarded to five lucky attendees. Most of the vendors also hold their own individual raffles.
Platinum sponsorship for the event has been made possible by Parkland Medical Center and Birch Heights. Gold Sponsorship has been provided by Spindel Eye Associates, Southern NH Internal Medicine, Holy Family Hospital and Amedisys Home Health. Silver sponsorship has been provided by ProCare Senior Services, Windham Terrace Assisted Living, RVNA, CLM, Derry Village Rotary, Derry Police Community Welfare Association, Pentucket Bank, Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network, N.H. Orthopaedic Center, Professional Hearing Management - Dr. Keith Jorgensen, Retina Vision Center LLC and Pleasant Valley Nursing Center.
Wheelchairs will be available on site, as well as handicapped parking and complimentary shuttle van service to and from the parking lot of the school at 1 West Running Brook Lane in Derry.
