DERRY — Parkland Medical Center will hold a community lecture focusing on women's mid-life heath Thursday, May 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Promises to Keep, located at199 Rockingham Road.
Participants are invited to join a panel of leading health professionals to discuss medical issues that affect women age 35 and older.
Topics will include menopause and hormonal changes, minimally invasive hysterectomy procedures (including robotic-assisted surgery,) women's heart health, breast health, nutrition and more.
Physician speakers include Dr. Joseph Montanaro, an obstetrician and gynecologist; Dr. Arthur Mourtzinos, urologist at the Lahey Institute of Urology at Parkland Medical Center; Dr. Lata Chandi Thatai, medical director of the Lahey Center for Oncology and Hematology at Parkland Medical Center; and Dr. Thomas Zarka of Women's Health Associates of Derry.
Participating physicians will offer a lecture with a question-and-answer session during the evening's agenda. Attendees may submit questions in advance the evening of the event.
A number of free health screenings and informational stations will also be available. An interactive daVinci Surgical System robot will also be on display for anyone in attendance interested in a hands-on interactive experience.
