Health and Wellness Fair set for May 7

DERRY — The Greater Derry Londonderry Chamber of Commerce will host a health and wellness fair May 7 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Promises to Keep, 199 Rockingham Road.

The free fair features a long list of vendors, health-related businesses and organizations offering information about all types of health services.

The day includes healthy cooking demonstrations featuring T-Bones/Cactus Jack’s Chef Nicole, bike helmet safety, free health screenings and much more.

Yoga for seniors begins at YMCA

LONDONDERRY — The Londonderry Senior Center and Greater Londonderry YMCA offer yoga classes to the senior community.

Barbara Scott and Lisa Kress will conduct an eight-week series of affordably priced yoga classes which are designed especially for those 55 and older to help increase flexibility and strength, as well as maintaining well-being.

Sign up for either the Tuesday or Thursday class, or both.

The new sessions begin the week of April 29 from 9 to 10 a.m. and are held at the Londonderry YMCA, 106 Rockingham Road. Pre-registration and prepayment are required. For more details, call YMCA of Greater Londonderry at 437-9622, or visit graniteymca.org.
