Charitable group raises $77K for kids

MANCHESTER — The planning committee of the Mary and John Elliot Charitable Foundation exceeded their expectations this year raising almost $77,000 for New Hampshire’s Hospital for Children. Event sponsors and 375 attendees enjoyed a silent auction, dinner and dancing to the Mirage Band last month.

Elliot pediatrician, Dr. Holly Neefe, thanked everyone for their support.

“I have been working here at Elliot for over 15 years and never thought I’d see the day when we could say the we are saving the lives of children right here in Manchester,” Neefe said. “Many children cannot make the trip north or south when they are in need of critical care and now, with the support of the community, New Hampshire’s Hospital for Children is treating children and saving the lives of our patients here at home.””
