Learn about pediatric asthma

DERRY — On Saturday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to noon, Parkland Medical Center will offer a free pediatric asthma training course.

The Make A P.A.C.T with Parkland program, Pediatric Asthma Care and Training class, provides families an opportunity to learn more about their child’s asthma, and how to self-manage this chronic illness. Led by a certified asthma educator, the program helps families become more familiar with: asthma attacks; devices used to monitor asthma; devices used for medication administration; triggers and how to reduce trigger exposure; how to read an action plan; what to do in an emergency; and question-and-answer time.

Space is limited. Registration is required. To register, call Consult a Nurse at 1-877-642-2362 or visit parklandmedicalcenter.com/calendar and register online.
