Londonderry School Board Chairman Nancy Hendricks told graduates to “pack up” all the most important things they will need as they face what life offers, whether it’s the military, college or a job.
“Pack up self-confidence, pride, take some courage with you,” she said. “And don’t forget to take your dreams with you. Dream big, big and bigger. The world is waiting for you.”
For DePew, finding her niche in the program made all the difference.
“The monsters are gone,” she said. “I’m going on to bigger and better things.”
To date, more than 400 students have graduated from the adult education program. Commencement ceremonies are held twice a year.
