---- — Gregg Shirley of Londonderry received a master of science in computer information systems from Boston University in September.

Mackenzie Schleicher of Londonderry, a member of the Bowdoin College class of 2014, was honored for academic excellence during the college’s annual Sarah and James Bowdoin Day ceremony, held Sept. 28. Schleicher is majoring in biology.

Jonathan Buckley of Londonderry was named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design for the fall 2012 quarter.

Kaitlyn Heffernan of Derry has been accepted at Coastal Carolina University for the fall 2013 semester. Heffernan, a Pinkerton Academy student, plans to major in accounting.

Madison Hicks of Londonderry has enrolled at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.

Bryant University has admitted the following local students to the class of 2016: Olivia Fagone of Derry, Shelby McKenney of Londonderry, Frank Sapareto of Derry, Shea Williams of Londonderry, and Nicholas Zacchilli of Londonderry.

Marie Lockhart participated in the Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine’s White Coat Ceremony on Dec. 1. Lockhart is a member of the veterinary college’s class of 2014. She is the daughter of Gary and Debra Nelson of Londonderry.

Two Derry residents, Eric Kehoe and Michael Magaletta, were recently honored at the University of Massachusetts Lowell’s second annual Celebration of Scholarship Luncheon.

Lauren Stockli of Derry earned a bachelor of science degree in international studies from Rochester Institute of Technology’s College of Liberal Arts in the summer 2012 quarter.

The following local residents made the dean’s list for the fall 2012 quarter at Rochester Institute of Technology: Paul Curtin of Londonderry, Christina Di Salvo of Derry, Samuel Falconer of Derry, Nickolas Hilton of Londonderry, Schuyler Martin of Londonderry, Andreas Roalsvig of Derry, and Michael Whelton of Londonderry.

Jamie Ruhmshottel of Derry received the Mount Sinai Service Award for her outstanding commitment to her patients, her colleagues and to the hospital. Ruhmshottel, now a registered nurse in the medical-surgical unit at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, is a 2004 graduate of Pinkerton Academy.
