---- — LONDONDERRY — Eleven students graduated from the Londonderry School District’s Adult Education program in a commencement ceremony Jan. 13 in the high school gym.

The students donned blue and white caps and gowns to receive their honors.

Adult education program director Gregory Warren told students their accomplishments were great and needed to be celebrated.

He said it was a pleasure to get to know each of them, their stories, their paths to success and their dreams.

“I admire you, whether you know it or not,” Warren told the graduates. “Follow your dreams, believe in yourself, be willing to sacrifice the little things to get what you want, and just laugh in life.”

Londonderry superintendent Nathan Greenberg said each graduate worked extremely hard to achieve their goal of a high school diploma.

“It is well earned and will serve you well in all your endeavors,” he said.

Londonderry School Board Chairman Nancy Hendricks told graduates the road ahead might be difficult and challenging, but they have already taken an enormous step on that road to success.

Graduate Kai Volkers told her fellow graduates she appreciated everyone’s differences and how they all began in different places, but united as a class.

“Some of us don’t know where we are going, some of us know exactly where we are going,” she said. “And we all now have the memories we made here together as high school graduates.”

To date, more than 400 students have graduated from the adult education program. Commencement ceremonies are held twice a year.

Adult Education graduates are: Nathan Bonanno, Mazie Cooper, Alexis Crites, Holly Gage, Jesse Huntress, Tyler O’Halloran, Jacob Olson, Brandon Renaud, Caitlyn Rauseo, Owen Thayer and Kai Volkers.
