DERRY — The Goddard School, 12 Tsienneto Road, hosts a Children's Expo and Open House on May 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The school will offer families and children activities and refreshments at the event, all planned to help increase awareness of the various services and products offered in the community for young children.
Families will be able to get to know organizations and businesses, including Girl Scouts, Canobie Lake Park and Stonyfield Yogurt
Planned activities range from puppet shows by Lindsay and Her Puppet Pals, balloon twisting from TWISTEDMAGIC.com ,as well as face and body painting by Chamillion Colors.
Health care professionals will also be available such as Spindel Eye Care, Speech Therapy Solutions Inc. and Broadway Chiropractic.
It will be an exciting, jam-packed day where people can learn about important developments in early childhood education, child safety, and great places to go and play with children.
During the event, there will be a food drive for New Horizons in Manchester. New Horizons is a soup kitchen, homeless shelter and food pantry.
Anyone who brings in donations can earn up to five raffle tickets.
All charity raffle proceeds go to benefit New Horizons, as well as the proceeds from the 50/50 raffle and the Goddard School bake sale.
On-site owner Samantha Baldini, education director Suzanne Mailhiot and faculty members welcome children into this nurturing environment where the curriculum encourages learning through play.
All families in the community are encouraged to visit the school for this event.
