DERRY — West Running Brook Middle School had a lot of reasons to celebrate last week.
At a "celebration" assembly held Friday, students gathered in the school gym for a chance to cheer for many things the school community is proud of.
Students wore red to honor heart healthy choices in fitness and food. They listened to for pep talks from administrators about standardized testing success.
Sports also made the celebration list with school basketball teams honored for making it into the playoffs and finals.
Other big news of the day recognized students who took part in the Super Bowl NFL contest to promote exercise and healthy life choices.
According to teachers and staff, West Running Brook students had a lot to be proud of during the assembly.
