Youth art show planned
A youth art show and reception opens on March 7 at 6 p.m. at Pinkerton Academy's Stockbridge Theatre lobby.
The public is invited to attend.
Artwork by students in grades kindergarten through grade 8 in Derry, Chester and Hampstead will be on display through March 25.
Cyber safety night set
Derry Cooperative School District hosts a Cyber Safety Night event on March 19 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at West Running Brook Middle School's cafeteria.
Students and parents in the school district are invited to attend this event that will include information on ways to make safe and informed choices online.
Derry Police and school district staff will present a variety of topics including cyber bullying, basic safety and digital citizenship, safe technology for learning, social networking, online gaming, Twitter and much more.
Students and parents will also have the opportunity to attend specific presentations of interest.
Students must be accompanied by a parent and must be signed in and out by parent or guardian. Games and activities will be included.
Pinkerton Academy National Honor Society members and West Running Brook Middle School National Junior Honor Society members will be assisting throughout the evening.
Kindergarten registration underway
Registration for the 2013-2014 school year is now open at Moose Hill School in Londonderry.
Parents of a child who will be 5 years old by Sept. 30, 2013, who live in Londonderry, can enroll a child now. Call the school at 437-5855 or stop by the school between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. weekdays.

Pinkerton presents 'Once Upon A Mattress'
Pinkerton Players present the musical "Once Upon a Mattress" March 21-24 at the Stockbridge Theatre at Pinkerton Academy in Derry.
The play is based on the classic fairy tale "The Princess and the Pea" but with many funny twists in the storyline.

Beginner Media Camp planned
The Londonderry Access Center's Beginner Summer Media Camp is shaping up for this summer. The camp will be held July 15-26 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Access Center on Mammoth Road.
The camp is open to students entering fifth through eighth grades in the fall of 2013. Londonderry residents get first preference for open spots at the camp.
The camp offers a fun way to learn all about video production. Students will produce their own programs, and have a screening of their work at the end of the two-week session.
The cost is $30 for two weeks. Space is limited, so call to reserve a spot today at 432-1147.
