---- — Derry students head to the polls

Students in Derry schools will once again be able to see the election process in action.

Students will head to the polls on Town Meeting day, March 12, to cast their own ballots for the things they would like to see at their schools.

Young voters are encouraged to attend voting day procedures with their parents and cast ballot for things like a favorite activity or year-end party.

Ballots will then be tallied and schools will hear their results once the polls close.

Security expert speaks at Pinkerton

Pinkerton Academy welcomed investigator Jennifer Frank on Feb. 19 for a social medial presentation on “The Many Faces of Facebook.”

Frank currently serves as the interim emergency planning manager and special investigator for crimes against women at the Plymouth State University police department.

Her role at the college is to investigate crimes that involve members of the campus community with a specific concentration on crimes against women, sexual harassment, and domestic violence.

Her presentation at Pinkerton revealed the “good, bad and ugly” about the online world and all the dangers that are often lurking there if people don’t take security precautions.
