Pinkerton faculty to perform on stage
DERRY — Pinkerton Academy’s faculty presents its annual play “The Aliens are Coming! The Aliens are Coming” April 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. in the Stockbridge Theatre.
There are 35 faculty and staff members in the cast. The show is under the direction of Jon Fowler.
All money raised goes to support the school’s Senior Scholarship Fund. Tickets are $5.
DI teams head to world finals in May
DERRY — Forty New Hampshire Destination Imagination teams have qualified to go to the world final competition in May, including three teams from Pinkerton Academy.
Teams moving on the global event are “On A Tuesday Night With A Full Moon,” “How Many Dragons Have You Fought,” and “Kamikaze Organization of Ducks.”
The world finals will be held at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville on May 21.
Londonderry students head to Tenn. for globals
LONDONDERRY — Londonderry Middle School has a team headed to Tennessee in May for the Destination Imagination world competition.
The team, “The Duct Tape Dudes” is made up of seventh-graders Neil Baran, Jillian Fitzgerald, Jimmy Fitzgibbons, Ian Goodspeed, Patrick Hagearty, Lauren Mullen and Sierra Sessa.
Elementary students take on top jobs
LONDONDERRY — Two South Elementary School students took on the school’s top administrative jobs for a day after winning a recent talent show.
Freedom James served as the school’s special education coordinator and Ava Ruppel served as custodian.
Also, three students served in the top job as principal and shared responsibilities. Gabrielle Tringalli, Greggory Lindquist and Ricky Nadeau worked together at the principal’s desk, while Riley Wolk served as assistant principal.
Art Institute offers summer program
Manchester — The New Hampshire Institute of Art offers a Pre-College Summer Program July 6-18. The program is designed for high school students to develop their college application portfolios while earning college level credit.
