DERRY — Derry Village Elementary School first-graders got a close-up view of some live animals, including an exotic bird, turtle and snake.
Wildlife educators from Michelle’s Menagerie made a stop at the Derry school Feb. 21 to give the young students a lesson on some wild animals.
Michelle Debye brought out some of her most popular animals to show to the children. She also explained about where they live, what they eat and what their shells, skin and feathers feel like.
Michelle’s Menagerie has made frequent stops in Derry, performing animal shows at the library, during summer vacation programs and in classrooms.
