Upper Room offers parenting seminars
DERRY — The Upper Room offers “Crossroads of Parenting and Divorce” to help equip parents with the tools necessary to focus on their children’s needs during difficult family transitions like separation and divorce.
The “Crossroads” seminars are taught by experienced and certified parenting instructors and demonstrate common co-parenting challenges and solutions.
“Crossroads is a valuable asset to local families,” facilitator Brenda Guggisberg said. “Divorce is an extremely turbulent time and it’s important for parents not only to recognize its effect on their children, but also learn strategies in order to minimize the adverse consequences.”
Guggisberg said lesson plans are designed to empower participants with skills necessary for effective co-parenting.
The courses are offered Monday nights from April 29 through June 3. All session are held at the Upper Room, 36 Tsienneto Road, Derry, and run from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
