---- — Community Youth Center to open
DERRY — Trinity Assembly of God, 53 North Main St., will host a Community Youth Center Opening Kick-Off Celebration on Friday, Sept. 6, from 2:10 to 5 p.m.
There will be free pizza, food and games.
The youth center will be open regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting the week of Sept. 10.
The purpose of the youth center is to provide a safe and fun environment for teenagers to do homework after school, talk with friends, grab something to eat and use the game tables.
Renew offers clothing giveaway
DERRY — Renew, a free clothing ministry, will be open Saturday, Sept. 14, from 8 to 11 a.m.
This is a ministry of Calvary Bible Church at 145 Hampstead Road in Derry. All clothes are clean and organized.
Enter at the Calvary Bible Church marquee sign. Renew will be on the right. This is open to all area families in need or on a budget, and Derry residency is not required.
Households are limited to 20 of the newest items, plus an unlimited number of any other items per visit (within reason for household size). This ensures that the newest items are spread evenly among visitors.
There is a short sign-up at the giveaway. No donations of money are asked or accepted in return for the clothing. Search for “Renew Derry” on Facebook, by emailing email@example.com or calling the church secretary at 434-1516.
Be sure to arrive no later than 10:30 a.m. to allow some time to shop and check out before they shut down at 11 a.m.
Elijah’s Table offers two free meals
DERRY — Elijah’s Table, a joint project of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and Etz Hayim Synagogue in Derry, is offering two free meals in September.
There will be a free dinner on Sunday, Sept. 8, at Episcopal Church, One Hood Road, and a free dinner on
Sunday, Sept. 15, at the Synagogue, 1-1/2 Hood Road.
Both meals start at 5 p.m. Come for a wonderful meal in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Everyone is welcome.
Etz Hayim holds High Holiday services
DERRY — Etz Hayim Synagogue of Derry announced its High Holiday schedule of worship services.
Rosh Hashanah worship services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 9:30 a.m. and Friday, Sept. 6 at 9:30 a.m., with Tashlich on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 1 p.m. and a family service on Thursday, Sept. 5, at 2:30 p.m.
Yom Kippur worship services will be held on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7:15 p.m. (Kol Nidre), Saturday, Sept. 14, at 9:30 a.m., with a family service at 3 p.m., Yizkor at 4 p.m., and Neilah at 5 p.m., followed by a community “break-fast.”

Interfaith Choir launches 48th season
DERRY — The Interfaith Choir will hold the first rehearsal of its 48th season on Sunday, Sept. 8, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church on Route 102 in Derry.
New members are always welcome. Membership is free and open to anyone of at least high school age, without audition.
The choir rehearses Sundays, September through April. Prior experience in a choir is not necessary. Performances are twice a year: two concerts each in December and April. For more information, call Beth at 432-4786, or just come to a rehearsal.
Church hosts Apple Country Craft Fair
LONDONDERRY — St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will host its 25th annual outdoor Apple Country Craft Fair on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The popular craft fair will feature 60-plus juried crafters from all over New England. Baked goods, grilled foods, coffee, baked potatoes, apple crisp and craft raffles are also featured. The juried crafts are based on originality and quality of craftsmanship.
