DERRY — While the Blue Angels took to the skies over Portsmouth, the New Hampshire Flying Tigers put up some smaller aircraft in Derry Saturday and Sunday.

The Flying Tigers hosted the two-day 2010 New England Radio-Control Fly-In at the club's airfield on B Street.

Guests could check out all kinds of flying machines — helicopters, planes and gliders. They also could try their hands at flying one of the radio-controlled machines themselves, under the watchful eyes of club members.

The sky was blue and perfect for flying.

Three other local clubs were part of the event: the Flying Misfits, the Southern NH Flying Eagles and the Southern NH Radio Control Club.
