Pinkerton's varsity bowling team broke another state record on Saturday.
Last week, Merrimack took the high single baker score with a 259, but Pinkerton blew that away Saturday with an outstanding 279.
This was the first game of the first match. Ben Campbell opened with a strike in the first frame, Alex Hadik a spare, then there were strikes from Jon Pierson, Theresa Lemieux, Nick Stilian, Ben Campbell and Alex Hadik. Nick Stilian got up in the 10th frame and threw two strikes and a nine-pin drop.
Varsity standard scoring for Game 1 was Ben Campbell, 166; Raina Stobbs, 161; Jonathan Pierson, 151; Theresa Lemieux, 210; and Nick Stilian, 245, for a total of 933.
Game 2 saw the Astros with a total of 788.
Pinkerton was top seed and had a bye. Goffstown was second seed, Merrimack third, Keene fourth and Laconia fifth.
Pinkerton's Number 1 seed faced Keene's Number 4 and won the first game with the record-breaking game of 279 to Keene's 140. They won the second game, 191-132.
The Astros then faced Goffstown. Pinkerton won the first game, 190-147, and the second, 176-156.
The JV standard scoring Game 1 had Alexandria Albano bowling a 147, Ritziko Linzi a 84, Alex Hadik a 195, Primo Lombardi a 158 and Andy Stock a 155 for a team total of 739. Game 2 earned the JV Astros the Number 1 seed.
The Astros faced Number 4 seed Keene in Round 1. Pinkerton won both games, 155-128 and 152-116.
Then they faced Number 2 seed Merrimack. Pinkerton won Game 1, 149-123, lost the second game, 138-136, and won the third, 137-129.
