PET OF THE WEEK: Spencer still waits for a home

Derry News

---- — Spencer is still waiting.

The jet black, domestic shorthair cat is happy living in his foster home, but is hoping for a family to call his own.

He is this week’s Pet of the Week.

Spencer, 2, was left behind when his owners moved. His foster family says he is very sweet and lovable.

He is up to date on all his shots and tests, is neutered and house trained.

The Greater Derry Humane Society and Feline Friends are partners, teaming up to foster animals in need while hoping to find new, permanent homes for cats in need like Spencer.

Anyone wishing to meet Spencer can call 434-1512 or 893-2483.

UPDATE: Jake, a 5-year-old Labrador retriever, has been adopted and is living happily in Concord. He was featured in February as a Pet of the Week. His new family is very happy to have him, Humane Society officials reported.
