Derry's Rausch, Reisdorf seek Senate seat

DERRY — A former town councilor hopes to oust the incumbent for a seat in the state Senate.

Democrat and former Derry councilor R. Christopher Reisdorf takes on Republican incumbent James Rausch for the District 19 job.

District 19 includes Derry, Hampstead and Windham.

If elected, Reisdorf said he would want dialogue to begin about ways to make taxes more fair for people based on their incomes, specifically property tax credits.

Rausch said there is a lot of work to be done to make New Hampshire a successful, fiscally sound state. He said if reelected he would also continue his strong support of the I-93 project and support more jobs for small business.
