Conservation honors Scout

Conservation Commission members gave accolades to Derry Eagle Scout Tyler Pascucci after the Troop 405 member completed his Eagle Scout project at the Low conservation property in Derry last year.

Conservation Chairman Margie Ives said she attended the Scout’s awards ceremony Jan. 11 and said he did a wonderful job on the project that included creating and marking trails and making signs for the property.

Ives said the Commission would award Tyler and his family with official Conservation Commission shirts. The Town Council also awarded the Scout with an official proclamation.

After school club planned

An after school Good News Club is being held for children in grades kindergarten through fifth grade at Derry Village Elementary School on Mondays beginning Feb. 10.

The club is held from 3:05 to 4:20 p.m. and is sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship Inc., an international, Bible-centered, nondenominational organization. Good News clubs are held weekly and are for all children regardless of any religious background or affiliation. The club is taught by trained volunteers. The program is free. Spaghetti dinners set

West Running Brook Middle School continues its schedule of free spaghetti dinners for the public. Dinners are held at the school on the following dates: Feb. 20, Mar. 20, April 17 and May 22. Dinners begin at 5 p.m. in the cafeteria.
