Potter's Bowl will sell out quickly

DERRY — On Jan. 31, Community Caregivers is hosting the ninth annual Potter’s Bowl fundraiser from 5 to 8 p.m. at Promises to Keep on Route 28.

For a $35 ticket, patrons are able to pick a handcrafted pottery bowl, all donated by local New Hampshire artists. There will be more than a dozen different types of soup donated from local restaurants around the Derry area, as well as breads, desserts and other goodies to enjoy.

Take-away soup is sold in the last hour for $5. A pottery wheel demonstration will be occurring in the hour prior to the event for waiting patrons.

The event will feature a 50/50 raffle again as an added fundraiser for the agency. There will also be musical entertainment and a silent auction with items donated from other New England artists and craftsmen.

Auction items include gift certificates, oil paintings, acrylic paintings, matted photography, watercolor, and handcrafted jewelry. The value of all art donated amounts to more than $5,000. It is not too late to donate fine art, pottery or homemade craft to a good cause.

The event is an artistic event full of fun and lots of great food to help support a local nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the elderly and disabled in the area.

Tickets are on sale now and sell out quickly. To purchase tickets to the event, call Caregivers at 432-0877 or drop by the Derry Masonic Temple at 58 E. Broadway during the business day.

For a soup menu, directions, and a list of auction items, keep an eye on the website as things come together,
