Residents are feeling the pinch — at the gas pump and when the fuel truck rolls in.
The average cost of a gallon of regular gas in New Hampshire has increased 15 cents in a month, according to Nick Wallner of AAA Northern New England.
The statewide average was $3.37 per gallon — 30 cents more than a year ago, Wallner said.
The cost will keep rising, Wallner said.
"We're not optimistic about prices going down in the near future," he said.
Greg Laskoski, a petroleum analyst for New HampshireGasPrices.com, said instability in Iran is a major reason why oil and gas prices continue to climb.
