Road work begins Sept. 3

As the town’s Rockingham Road construction project continues, officials have announced detour details during the work. Work starts on Sept. 3 to construct a new bridge and install water, sewer and drainage utilities on Rockingham Road.

The work will close a section of Rockingham Road between Bradford Street and Winter Hill Road until the end of November.

Detour signs and dynamic message boards will be posted to guide drivers around the construction area. Rockingham Road will be closed 24 hours a day/seven days a week until the new bridge is installed and placed in service.

Anyone wishing to reach Parkland Medical Center from the south on Route 28 will need to use alternate detour routes.
