PET OF THE WEEK: Lucy can't be loose

Lucy is 2 years old, a beautiful calico cat, and in need of a permanent, loving home.

She is this week’s featured Derry News Pet of the Week.

Lucy had been living outside in a managed feral colony until a few months ago when the caretaker noticed her bumping into things and stepping onto the food dishes.

It turns out Lucy was not feral after all, but was blind. She is a very sweet girl, but needs an indoor home to call her own. She would do best without children or dogs. Another cat in the home would be good for Lucy.

She is learning to use her other senses to get around, but is friendly and just needs time to get used to her surroundings. She is trained well to use the litter box and would make a great companion for someone.

Lucy is up-to-date on all her tests and vaccines. Anyone wanting to meet Lucy and perhaps give her that forever home can call 893-2483.
