Free dinner

Central Congregational Church, 14 Crescent St., offers free community dinners on the last Sunday of every month at 5 p.m.

There is a free meal Sunday, May 26. All are welcome to attend.

Fundraiser concert

The Greater Derry Arts Council hosts a benefit concert June 1 at 7 p.m. at the Derry Opera House on West Broadway.

The show features local talent from Let’s Play Music, Dance Progressions, Kids Coop Theatre and top performers from the Derry’s Got Talent event from last year.

Tickets are $10, $8 for students and seniors with general admission seating. Proceeds benefit the Arts Council.

Tickets will be sold at the door or call 437-0505 to reserve tickets.

Baffle Raffle

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1617, 18 Railroad Ave., hosts a Baffle Raffle on June 2 at 2 p.m.

Members and guests are welcome. For information call 432-9702. Proceeds benefit veterans and community projects.

Church yard sale

Church of the Transfiguration, Hood Road and East Broadway, will host a yard sale on Saturday, June 1, from 8 a.m. to noon.

Dog obedience class

Greater Derry Humane Society hosts a series of dog obedience classes beginning June 3 at Salty Lane Stable in Derry. Classes run Mondays from 7 to 8 p.m.

Surf and turf night set for June 14

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1617, 18 Railroad Ave., host a surf and turf night and DJ event on June 14 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the post home.

Proper flag disposal offered

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1617 invite anyone with worn or tattered flags to bring them to the VFW Post Home at 18 Railroad Ave. to be disposed of in a special upcoming ceremony.
