Coyle leads in District 3 county commissioner race

Results early wednesday morning gave Republican Kevin Coyle the lead in the District 3 Rockingham County commissioner race.

Coyle, a former Derry town councilor, has the lead over Democratic challenger Bob Davidson of Nottingham by a vote of 25,550 to 17,517.

Nottingham’s results were not available.

District 3 towns also include Derry, Londonderry, Auburn, Candia, Windham, Chester, Deerfield, Northwood.

Coyle won his GOP bid for commissioner in September beating out Auburn incumbent C. Donald Stritch and Phyllis Katsakiores, also of Derry. Coyle said he wanted to bring a fresh set of ideas to the county job.

“I want to work with our local communities to make sure county government is providing what citizens need,” he said.
