Derry Lions Club members also are selling trees at the Citizens Bank plaza at the corner of Tsienneto Road and Crystal Avenue.

All tree sales support the organizations’ community missions and outreach projects throughout the year.

Farmers market continues for winter

The Derry Farmers Market continues through the winter every first and third Saturday now through March.

The markets are held at the Upper Village Hall, 52 East Derry Road.

Seasonal produce, handcrafted items, musical entertainment and much more are provided at the markets. Call market director Beverly Ferrante for information at 434-8974.

Giving tree needs help

The town’s Giving Tree stands in the lobby of the municipal center on Manning Street and donations are still being accepted.

The Derry Community Fund and Sonshine Soup Kitchen will help distribute items to those families and individuals in need this holiday season.

There is still time to drop off items for the Soup Kitchen up through Dec. 18 or send donations to: Sonshine Soup Kitchen, 4 Crystal Avenue, Derry, 03038.

There are designated donation boxes in the lobby for the collection of items.
