Cabaret offers dancing, song June 5

Birch Heights retirement facility offers “Come to the Cabaret” Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m.

Derry Garden Club to meet June 6

Derry Garden Club meets June 6 at 10 a.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry, 40 Hampstead Road.

The program is “Mason Bees Power Presentation” by club member and New Hampshire Federation of Garden Clubs president Michelle Mensinger. All are invited to attend.

Genealogy program offered at library

As part of the local history series of programs at Derry Public Library, a new program on genealogy research will be held on Monday, June 9, at 6:30 pm.

Come and hear Christine Sharbrough, certified genealogist and former Derry Public Library staff member, talk about the new trends and opportunities for genealogical researchers. Get a peek at the new online tools and the changes in the major offerings in ancestry.com, FamilySearch and more.

The latter half of the program will be open for questions and discussion of user experiences. For more information, call the library at 432-6140.

Rockin’ Randy to perform

Birch Heights retirement facility welcomes Rockin’ Randy who will perform on Saturday, June 28, at 4:15 p.m.

Upper Room offers ‘Cooking Matters’

The Upper Room on Tsienneto Road once again hosts its free “Cooking Matters” program this summer.

Every Wednesday from July 9 through Aug. 13, parents of children ages 5 to 12 can sign up for free cooking and nutrition courses. Children will learn skills necessary to cook healthy, low-cost meals.
