---- — Summer concerts continue in the park

Parks and Recreation’s free summer concert series in MacGregor Park continues July 25 with a performance by Royal Pains at 7 p.m.

Upcoming shows include the Mirage Band on July 30; Josh Logan Trio, Aug. 1; Pony Express, Aug. 6; and the Lisa Guyer Band (formerly Mama Kicks) on Aug. 8. Call for information at 432-6136.

Teen Space welcomes Audubon

Derry Public Library’s Teen Space welcomes the N.H. Audubon Society with a program “Moose to Mice, Scales to Skin” for ages 12 to 18.

The program is set for July 29 from 2 to 3 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. No registration is necessary and all are welcome.

Fraud, ID theft workshop planned

Birch Heights retirement facility offers a workshop on fraud and identity theft on July 27 at 10 a.m. at the facility at 7 Kendall Pond Road. Melissa Gendron, member development coordinator for Granite State Credit Union, will lead the discussion. For information call 425-7755.

A chance to learnall about bees

Derry Garden Club hosts a program, “Bees —Everything You Might Want to Know” featuring Wendy Booth, president of the N.H. Beekeeper Society.

The event is set for Aug. 2 at 10 a.m. at the Robert Frost Farm, Route 28. The public is welcome to attend.

Outdoor family movie night set

LifeWay Church hosts an outdoor family movie night event at MacGregor Park on Aug. 2.

The movie will be shown on a giant screen and popcorn is provided. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

Self-defense workshop offered

Tim Barchard’s Professional Martial Arts Academy offers a free women’s safety protection class on Aug. 8 at 8 p.m.

Free summer meals continue

Southern New Hampshire Services/Rockingham Community Action continues its free summer program of offering free meals to youth in the area under the age of 18.

Meals are offered daily through Aug. 23 at the following locations: Fairways Apartments, for residents only, 4:15 to 5 p.m.; Franklin Village, 5:15 to 5:45 p.m.; and Hood Park, 6 to 6:30 p.m. Call 668-8010.
