LONDONDERRY — In the Ring Boxing and Fitness Club has big plans for the coming year.
The 1A Rockingham Road, Londonderry-based boxing club recently installed a new regulation-sized boxing ring allowing the gym to expand classes and training.
"We're focused on bringing in clients interested in a different type of workout," said Hollie Anderson, owner of In the Ring Boxing and Fitness Club. "You don't need to be a professional boxer to train with us. No matter what the skill level is, we can guarantee a solid work out that will provide increased fitness, skill and ability."
Nearly doubling the size of the existing gym, the addition of a regulation-sized boxing ring provides even greater access to training, sparring and bouts. Led by certified trainers with years of competitive and training experience in boxing, mixed martial arts, grappling and women's self defense, In the Ring offers a full array of classes and training for every type of boxing athlete.
In the Ring's training programs will offer you a wide array of conditioning opportunities using free weights, heavy bags, speed bags, cardio machines, weight machines, target mitts and roping.
"The programs are designed to keep members motivated to want to achieve more, improve your overall conditioning and have fun doing it," Anderson added. "Whether you're interested in squaring off against an opponent or not, you'll definitely enjoy the benefits of training for it."
Expanded classes for the New Year include Boxing I, II, and III, Women's Fitness and Self-Defense classes, Athletic Conditioning and a 30-Minute Circuit class.
In the Ring also offers classes for children ages 6 to 16 including Junior Boxing I, II, and III, Kid's Karate, and Junior Weight Training and Conditioning classes.
For the athlete looking to accelerate a workout regime or prepare for a bout, In the Ring also offers customized private training sessions.
