DERRY — Police are on the lookout for a man who robbed the Ocean National Bank on Birch Street at gunpoint this afternoon.
Described as white, about 6 feet tall with a slender build, the man brandished a silver handgun and robbed the bank of an unspecified amount of cash shortly after 2 p.m., police said. The suspect ran from the scene toward Pierce Avenue, witnesses told police.
He was wearing a tan overcoat, light colored pants, a dark hat and had a black mask or bandana over his face, police Capt. Vern Thomas said.
