DERRY — Twice a month, Elijah’s Table in Derry offers free meals to the community.
It is attended by families having a hard time making ends meet, elderly on a restricted income, single folk just looking for some company and lots of young kids helping out.
The meals are delicious and the atmosphere is great.
On Sunday, March 24, there will be a free dinner, open to all, sponsored by Elijah’s Table, a joint project of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration and Etz Hayim Synagogue.
The dinner will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Etz Hayim Synagogue, 1-1/2 Hood Road in Derry.
There will be eggplant parmesan, pasta, vegetables, delicious dessert and a few prizes.
The atmosphere is warm and friendly, and all are welcomed.
