“I just love the challenge and working with people,” she said.
Both towns also have openings for school district jobs, including open school board positions.
Incumbent Derry School Board members Ken Linehan has decided to run again for one of the three open spots. Two other incumbents, Brenda Willis and Kevin Gordon, had not filed as of Monday.
“I believe I’ve played an important role in the management of the school, which has done extremely well over this period of time,” Linehan said.
Gordon has served 12 years on the Derry board and said he was also part of many great changes within the district.
In Londonderry, two three-year town council terms are up for grabs. Other open town jobs include Budget Committee, treasurer and Leach Library trustees.
Ted Combes is on the list for a shot at a three-year Budget Committee job. Incumbent treasurer Kathy Wagner also wants another term.
There is also one open Londonderry School Board job for three years. The incumbent is John Laferriere. Other open school jobs are school district clerk, moderator and treasurer, all for three-year terms.
Town and school district websites have all the information on filling for open positions and what jobs are available. The deadline to file is this Friday at 5 p.m.
Voters will elect both town and school officials at the polls on March 12.
