“It’s my first week here in Derry,” she said. “It’s nice. There’s also a lot of stuff kids like.”
Lavoie also liked the location and ample parking for both customers and vendors.
As the season progresses, more vendors will come with locally grown produce, including Derry’s Kittredge Farms.
The market runs on Manning Street every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. through the end of September.
After that, the market’s future is unknown as town officials decide how to move ahead with less money in the budget.
Ferrante said she’s thrilled with this season’s vendor lineup and looks forward to the weeks ahead.
“I’m thrilled with the vendors we have on board. It should be a smooth running market this season,” she said. “It’s fabulous.”
