Brownies enjoy gardening day at farm

DERRY — Young gardeners had a chance to get down in the dirt at the Robert Frost Farm last week.

Brownies from Derry Troop 10468 spent an afternoon at the farm under the watchful eyes of Derry Garden Club members.

The local club has organized a Children’s Garden Project at the Frost Farm for many years, inviting local youth groups, Scouts and other children to come to the farm to plant flowers and vegetables in the spring and bulbs in the fall.

Last week, Scouts took time to carefully place bulbs in the garden.

Derry Garden Club members also organize a youth gardening project at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Derry every year and also included youth in the recent club flower show.
