She said job seekers have to have their 30-second introductory speech ready for their first contact with an employer.
Good impressions were being made.
“Several employers are very interested in individuals,” Hall said.
Express Employment human relations assistant Danielle Roller said there are opportunities for job seekers.
“There are always openings for people with the right background,” she said.
Angela DelOrfano of Derry is a former bank executive who said it has been challenging to find that type of work.
“I’ve had only four interviews since February,” she said.
She’s willing to move outside financial services because she said her skills are very transferable.
“But I’m being told I’m overqualified for the positions I’m going for,” DelOrfano said.
Sean Bailey of Derry was fresh off a stint with security at Screeemfest at Canobie Lake Park.
“I’m looking for a job in security or delivery,” he said. “Something along those lines would be phenomenal.”
Tyler Lundstrom of Concord has been looking for about a month. His background is in engineering and automotive work.
“I’m trying to find something close to my profession, something long term,” Lundstrom said.
