DERRY — Community Caregivers of Greater Derry honored its many volunteers for their years of service.
At a recent holiday open house, the Derry-based volunteer organization paid tribute to the many people who spend time with disabled and elderly clients to help them maintain independence in their own homes.
Caregivers’ volunteer network includes those who have served many years. Help comes in the form of visitations, simple chores, medical transportation, food shopping and yard work.
Caregivers celebrated 25 years in 2013.
More help is always needed, Caregivers’ director Cindee Tanuma said. Call 432-0877 to learn more about ways to help.
