---- — Library hosts author

Author Dan Szczesny will be featured in a presentation at Derry Public Library on Jan. 18 at 1 p.m.

Szczesny will speak on his book “The Adventures of Buffalo and Tough Cookie,” a hiking memoir chronicling the journey of the author and his young but ambitious hiking partner as they set out to hike Mount Kearsarge in November 2011.

What followed was a hiking odyssey that lasted more than a year as the two hikers crossed the state on their way to a 225-mile epic attempt to complete a little-known hiking list, “The 52 With A View.”
