Derry
Nick Arancio (D)
I am a 39-year-old, married, home owning New Englander with conservative and liberal values. Categorically, you can call me a Progressive Liberal Democrat. I have an analytical mind, strong debate skills with a diplomatic style and a passion for problem solving.
I have developed several ideas I plan to debate on the House floor, for example: Agricultural Bills for Soup Kitchens and Schools allowing them to grow fruits and vegatables (helping themselves), A Public Property Use Bill allowing private business to use public land in their ventures, guided by local Zoning Boards, creating jobs and providing revenue in the form of leases and profit sharing. A Clean Energy Bill allowing private investment in Solar Panels and Wind Mills along route 93, creating jobs and provide revenue in the form of rent and profit sharing. And a Public Transportation Bill reducing the carbon foot print, saving individuals money in the form of fuel costs, and helping deliver customers to local businesses.
Believing the best government is a transparent government, I will introducing the following bills: One Subject One Bill designed to stop the process of hiding a bill that would otherwise fail; Signing Statements Bill forcing the House and Senate to declare the purpose of each bill, and a Key Word Search Bill enhancing the Senate and House websites to provide a better search tool allowing you and I to search current and previous bills by commonly used words like "view tax."
