DERRY — The town of Derry is one of approximately 15 cities and towns across the state that is part of a trial to launch a new web-based fire permitting system.
This new system, administered by the Division of Forests and Lands within the Department of Resources and Economic Development, was created by Sovereign Sportsman Solutions based out of Tennessee, the same company that handles online fishing and hunting licenses for the Fish and Game Department.
Starting immediately, residents will be able to visit https://nhdflweb.sovsportsnet.net, fill out the required information, and print out a permit, all without leaving their home.
The cost of an online permit is $3. The online system is in addition to, and not a replacement of, the paper permit that you can currently get at the fire department.
The system is being trial tested until next summer, when it will be launched statewide.
For more information, please contact the Derry Fire Department Director of Communications Jon Goldman at 432-6121 or you can contact the Division of Forests and Lands at 271-2214.
